What is Falafel?
We think of falafel as a vegan meatball. It a mixture of garbanzo beans, parsley, onions, and spices made into perfectly-shaped balls.
How do i cook falafel?
You can fry or bake them! For best results, we recommend frying.
FRYING: Preheat cooking oil to approximately 375° F. Carefully place 3-5 falafel balls and cook for 6 minutes, or until desired crispness.
BAKING: Set oven to broil. Layer a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place the falafel balls on the baking sheet and brush the falafel with vegetable oil. Insert baking sheet into the oven and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until crisp.
Is WONDER falafel gluten-free or vegan?
Yes! Wonder Falafel is gluten-free AND vegan! Our product is also Soy-free!
IS FALAFEL HEALTHY?
Yes! Falafel is a good source of vegetarian protein. Even with all of the toppings, it's a good source of fiber, a type that helps lower LDL (bad) cholesterol.
HOW DO I EAT FALAFEL?
We recommend dipping or wrapping falafel in a pita with tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, pickled turnips, onions and tahini sauce. Falafel can also be it's own side dish or enjoyed on top of a bed of greens.
